Theory of Constraints: The Real Strategy Behind Lean
Don Guild, Founder
Synchronous Management

Most companies embark on their lean journeys to reduce cost. Their efforts turn out to be tactical at best, and the results are all but impossible to trace to the bottom line. Mature lean companies understand that the goal of the business is not just to reduce cost. They know that the selection and use of lean’s powerful continuous improvement tools must be linked to the true goal of every business - making money! The synergy of the theory of constraints and the lean enterprise provides the key. Participants in this discussion will gain a much-needed perspective on a lean strategy that focuses their lean tactics of improving material flow and removing non-value-adding waste – and taking it to the bottom line!
Winning at Life: Winning at Golf
Jerome Green, Vice President of New Business Development
Go Green Learning

This engaging presentation showcases how life, golf, winning and leadership all go together. Using golf as a metaphor for typical work challenges, participants will be shown how to get out of their own sand traps; hit the green in their work; let go of bad holes while preparing for greatness at the next; and embrace their challenges with a sense of winning. Audience members will have an opportunity to work with themselves and others through simulated challenges of a golf course, designed to entertain, inspire and awaken new approaches to old situations. As a result, participants will get a chance to integrate awareness and learning into daily teamwork, communication and productivity.
